Black Water in Pakistan the ugly Reality
After the recently raised issue of Black Water in Pakistan, one can rightly say that Pakistan has become the victim of trust while extending support to USA on the war of terror.
Pakistan is facing the worst outcome of joining hands in the war on terror. After 9/11 incidence, the pursuit of Osama Bin Ladin begun with the War triggered by USA against Afghanistan. The action was well supported by US citizens at that time but every passing day in that war created new complexities. Now it is widely believed that prime target of that war are still unachieved and people in America and around the world are raising concern about the hidden agenda behind the whole adventure against Afghanistan and surrounding countries like Pakistan and Iran.
Iran being completely sovereign and its citizen are religiously and emotionally very committed to their national security, America could not bow their heads and this single bad experience made them think to crush that lone Islamic defiant nation. Pakistan, the other neighbor of Afghanistan had been the victim of perpetual pressure on its western borders due to never ending wars and confrontations between rival warlords since Russian’s exit. The economy of Pakistan was also becoming weak due to internal political instability. Amid these pressured times, the incident of 9/11 took place and Pakistan plunged into further catastrophe as it helped USA to take revenge from Al Qaeda for what it believed to be responsible for Twin Tower debacle or in other words carrying out attack on USA.
We saw during the last decade that Americans could not control Afghanistan completely and their assault on Taliban and killing of thousands of people inside that country could not change the situation. Later the debris of failures was intentionally thrown on Pakistan and its Intelligence when NATO and US forces alleged Pakistan based groups for supporting Al Qaeda and Talibans inside Pakistan. This whole adventure was the part of an ugly agenda to control this region and curb any possible Islamic uprising which could become a threat for the super power.
To understand the cunning game played by the enemies of Pakistan, we should take few of the latest events into consideration.
- Creative Associates International an NGO from USA was instructed to discontinue its operation and its high ranking official Mr. Craig Davis’s visa was cancelled on the charges of carrying out covert actions against Pakistan’s national security. Unfortunately, that dangerous person is now again in Pakistan due to immense pressure of USA to approve his visa again. The political government failed to guard the national interest instead of alarms raised by Intelligence agencies of Pakistan.

- The arrival of Black Water or Xe private army of United states in Pakistan. This private army has a very bad history of inhuman atrocities inside Iraq and Afghanistan. Most alarmingly, they are spreading their wings and assets inside Pakistan with electric speed. The reports of purchase of properties in Islamabad and especially around the residence of Dr. A.Q. Khan raised many questions. The public uproar again this development is a clear sign that Pakistanis are not accepting this new but shameful development.
Understanding the role of NGOs and agencies being so uncomfortable with them has a very black story behind. The roots of present Black Water saga are deep and can be located just after 2005’s devastating earthquake in the northern areas of Pakistan. The effected areas were completely collapsed and that region saw immense number of casualties, loss of property and the infrastructure. The catastrophe was so big that Pakistan could not handle that alone and thus asked foreign help to carry out relief operations. Amid these tough times, the enemies of Pakistan took a dirty plan to their desks. In the wave of very sincere efforts by different reliable NGOs who helped Pakistan in their relief operations, some black sheep NGOs like Creative Associates International also jumped into business. There are several others of similar type which are presently operating inside Pakistan which have very doubtful links but intelligence agencies are on a close surveillance of their activities. These few double faced NGOs begun a very serious game by offering adoption of the orphan children from the earth quake hit areas.
Ironically, USA relaxed IR-4 Visa regulations for the adopted children and the rough estimate suggests that hundreds of children were taken away from Pakistan through these NGOs since that earth quake. Pakistan’s Intelligence missed this very important development and our Government at that time was equally responsible for either neglecting this development but also become equally suspected to be the part of that ugly game plan. Today, the data of those adopted children is not available with any Ministry inside Pakistan. This negligence is also causing difficult times for Pakistani nation when unidentified suicide bombers and terrorists are pouring in to Pakistan instead of being highly agile security measures and lot of sincere efforts by the agencies. More dangerous is the emergence of Pakistanis being involved in terrorist actions like happened in Mumbai which is famous as 26/11 terror attacks.
Today when dirty actions of these suspected NGOs have been identified, we are disappointed to see that our Ambassador to USA Mr. Hussain Haqqani is insisting our agencies to drop their charges and close their eyes for ever to allow Visas to these NGOs and private army officials.
The situation if not verbally disclosed, shows signs that our Government has agreed to bow its head to accept every dirty action and every order of United States without foreseeing its aftermath.
Today Black water has become the top hot issue in the Pakistani media and has brought the anger of the nation to the highest peak. We can see a huge outrage in the streets in the coming days as this private army is spreading its wing inside Pakistan with enormous speed. The news is pouring every day about their acquiring properties and residential complexes inside Islamabad, Peshawar and Karachi. The expansion of US Embassy is believed to be the part of this blood smelled conspiracy.
To understand the nature of Black Water (Xe) Private army lot has been stated and appeared in the media. In short this is the most deadly and barbaric force developed privately in USA to assist American army to identify and execute suspected anti American terrorist and their leaders. The actions of Black water inside Iraq made it the most unpopular name which later made the company change its identity to be called “Xe” now. Though it is said that Black Water or Xe has recruited ex-Army officers and commanders but the inside story has more ugly revelations to shock the world. Most of the recruits of Black water are fatherless and have no family or any social lifestyle. These soldiers are born haters of this world as they believe that this world has given them nothing in life but a curse of being fatherless and having no real family. A breed of these fatherless youth has been easily manipulated and they have been systematically brainwashed for any cold blooded action. Recently I discussed the matter with a friend of mine living in Europe who said that psychologically this new breed of fatherless and family less youth is becoming head ache for the society as most of them are found involved in illegal activities like drugs, arms, alcoholism and lot more. Black Water is collecting these kinds of fatherless and those without a family to become part of their ugly army. It is most disgusting to note that USA itself is interested to recruit and in fact recruiting such personnel as these people do not have any family to claim for their dues or rewards once they loose life on the front or in any covert action. Thus, Black Water which is recruiting not humans but carrots which would be cut on the war front and nobody would cry for them later.
To understand the barbarism of Black Water it is necessary to understand the above logic seriously. Black Water does not care for humans and they do not have any value or respect for human life. Allowing these forces to operate inside Pakistan would be suicidal and the impact would be beyond the control of common people and for future Governments.
It is a tough time for Pakistan and its brave soldiers, policemen and intelligence officials who are shedding their blood every day for the safety and security of this country. Today, if the nation would not rise to stop this Black Army to enter into Pakistan, then our future generations would curse on not guarding the beloved homeland from the conspiracies of our enemies.
The Government of Pakistan should take strong stance on this issue. They should not allow Black Water or any conspiring NGO to operate inside Pakistan. If the Government would show courage, they will find the whole nation standing behind them.
